Not sure what the previous homeowner was thinking when he drilled this hole, only what would be the all-time material to patch it with?

As you tin see in the moving-picture show, it'southward a purely aesthetic ready simply I'm remodeling the room and I'k obsessed with details similar this.

  • I don't call up you're going to find annihilation that won't look like a patch. You lot could back the hole and fill it with a putty, but it will always expect like a hole... Or you could paint information technology and it will ever wait like a silly painted vinyl window. I know this isn't what y'all were subsequently, simply I'd find a way to live with the hole.

  • Looks similar it might have been used for security. Either an alert sensor, or more probable you could put something through the pigsty to block the sliding window. Information technology could and so be left open for fresh air, simply not open plenty for an intruder to fit through.

  • It's a second story window, but information technology's was a plant nursery/small child's room. So perchance it was some sort of security pin to preclude the window from being opened too wide then the kid couldn't push out through the screen? But is the best solution really one that does irreversible damage? Thanks for helping me solve the mystery.

Does it line up with a hole or notch in the top of the window when it is closed? Then it was for a security pin or other lock.

The easiest thing would be to gum a larger slice of thin vinyl over it. Anything else is going to exist more noticeable unless you are a master craftsman.

Well it is not then big hole and so you lot tin can use Popular for filling it & after that you tin pigment information technology & hang a wall hanging on it and then that it looks cute & hole didn't appear anymore.
